Each new season of Call of Duty: Warzone brings the usual array of new content; a new battle pass, new weapons, new POIs, and game modes.
But not only is new content introduced but older stuff is often tweaked, with the last two seasons bringing wholesale changes to the game's arsenal of weapons.
That hasn't quite happened yet with Season 5, though it is expected to with the developers claiming that another batch of weapon buffs and nerfs can be expected sometime this week.
And while that may well be the case, you are in Verdansk now and there is a lobby full of players looking to kill you, so getting a loadout for your favourite weapon can't wait on some patch notes.
With that being said, we are going through all the weapons and fine-tuning them for Season 5 and up next is the M4A1, one of the most iconic assault rifles and one of Warzone's most popular.
Best M4A1 loadout for Warzone Season 5
The M4A1 is one of the game's most powerful ARs and it currently sits in our A-Tier for the weapon class. It's a versatile gun with good damage output and a relatively stable recoil pattern which, depending on the attachments added, can be fitted out for CQB or more long-range engagements.
On that note, we've opted for loadout that retains the gun's versatile nature whilst making it more reliable at range with some attachments designed to mitigate recoil.
- Muzzle: Monolithic Suppressor
- Barrel: Corvus Custom Marksman
- Optic: Corp Combat Holo Sight (Blue Dot)
- Underbarrel: Commando Foregrip
- Ammunition: 60 Round Mags
First up is the Monolithic Suppressor, a popular attachment that dampens the audio footprint of the gun and makes you a harder opponent to pin down.
We have then gone for the Corvus Custom Marksman barrel, this attachment -- at a small cost of mobility -- increases muzzle velocity and extends the gun's effective range.
The Corp Combat Holo Sight (Blue Dot), is a good all-purpose sight, you don't get any magnification with this but you do get nice clear sightlines, great for switching between CQB and longer engagements with ease.
For the underbarrel, we have opted for the Commando Foregrip which makes the recoil a bit more stable at a small cost to movement speed.
Lastly, we have gone for the 60 Round Mags, put simply with more bullets you can stay in the action for longer, perfect for those 2-3 person engagements that don't give you time to reload.
