Modern Warfare 3 Worldwide Reveal Announced

After confirming the name and release date for the 2023 Call of Duty entry, Activision has announced that a worldwide reveal for Modern Warfare 3 is slated for later this month. The title will follow on from 2022's Modern Warfare 2, reuniting players once more with Price and company for another action-packed ordeal.

In a recent blog post, Activision confirmed that the worldwide reveal will be taking place through an in-game Warzone event, called The Shadow Siege Limited Time Event, beginning on August 17, 2023. Naturally, very few details have been revealed as to what players can expect from the event itself, however some minor teases from Commander Phillip Graves suggest what sort of fight players are in for:

This is an airborne to ground assault of the Konni-occupied Zaya Observatory.

Players will be joining the ranks of Shadow Company in order to take on Konni forces and secure chemical weapons. Along the way, players will be able to earn themselves rewards. As part of the event, the full reveal of Modern Warfare 3 will take place.

By completing additional objectives in Operation: Shadow Siege, players can earn themselves even more items, such as a new Base Weapon, to use across Warzone, Modern Warfare 2 and, eventually, Modern Warfare 3.

When Does The Modern Warfare 3 Reveal Event Happen In Warzone? Dates, Times Revealed

The Shadow Siege Limited Time Event/Modern Warfare 3 worldwide reveal will be taking place in Warzone on August 17, 2023 beginning at 10:30 AM PT. Activision has encouraged players to have assembled their four-person squad for the event from 9:30 AM PT. From this time, Double XP will be in place, ready for the event's commencement at 10:30 AM.
