MW3 Vortex Event: All Modes, Rewards, End Date

A new event has begun in Modern Warfare 3, following the events of 2023's CODMAS. This time, the Vortex has emerged and has players battle it out across remixed versions of some familiar maps.

During this event, players will have the chance to earn themselves 15 rewards through playing Tetanus (Rust), Satan’s Quarry (Quarry), and Sporeyard (Scrapyard). 

How To Play And Win Vortex Event In Modern Warfare 3

The rules for the Vortex event mode are simple: In this LTM, one player will spawn in with the Ray Gun, the one-hit-one-kill iconic weapon.But, they'll also be visible to all other players thanks to a nice red highlight. 

The goal is to reach the score limit first. If you get killed while holding the Ray Gun, it'll pass onto the player that killed you. You can still kill other players to reach the score limit but, naturally, the one holding the Ray Gun will have an advantage. 

It's a fast-paced free-for-all with a 10 minute time limit. The game mode can take place across one of three maps: Tetanus, Satan's Quarry, and Sporeyard.

The ultimate reward for this LTM is the Magma Weapon Camo, which players can unlock by earning a grand total of 458,000 XP. Players can earn a bonus XP boost of 1000 XP per match by equipping the War Horse skin from the Tracer Pack Weapons of the Apocalypse: War's Vengeance Bundle.

When Does The Vortex LTM Event End In MW3?

The Vortex event will end on January 17, 2024 at 8 a.m. PT. Players will have until then to claim all rewards and take full advantage of this limited game mode.
