MW3 Multiplayer Review: Blast From The Past

Wondering about MW3 Multiplayer experience? We'd be happy to tell you.
MW3 Multiplayer Review: Blast From The Past
Activision

The Modern Warfare name is renowned throughout the gaming community. Call of Duty fans worldwide have plenty of joyous memories of grinding, laughing, and loving the gameplay Modern Warfare has always offered. Whether that be unforgettable maps, weapons, or functionality, Modern Warfare has always provided. So, what about Modern Warfare 3?

MW3 Multiplayer Review: Unforgettable Originality

Modern Warfare 3 Multiplayer manages to successfully honor its predecessors through implementing, remastering, and designing old fan-favorite maps beautifully. The maps are a blast from the past, allowing players to be transported to a place of nostalgia whilst also enjoying the new combat and features Multiplayer has to offer.

The developers are consistently reminding you of their innovative talent through new weapons, optimization, ambiance, and great gunplay, balancing the nostalgia with the overall gameplay experience.

MW3 Multiplayer Review: Operators and Optimisation

The MW3 Operators are magnificently fitting to the gameplay. The developers decided to add a hint of spice by including previous MW2 Operators that range from 21 Savage to Halloween-themed beasts. Allowing players to express their personalities, interests, and objectives through their Operators is a unique aspect of MW3 Multiplayer.

The optimization of the game is another great aspect of the title. Players can run the game at expected rates when reflecting the minimum or recommended settings. It's been known in the past that Call of Duty titles provide questionable optimization rates at launch, however, it's nice to see Modern Warfare 3 isn't one of these titles.

MW3 Multiplayer Review: Weapons and Gunsmith

The Gunsmith in Modern Warfare 3 Multiplayer has become somewhat confusing through the implementation of new features. There are plenty of new settings for players to properly fine-tune their weapons for perfect combat scenarios, though it doesn't feel particularly necessary for a game like MW3 as it's not a hardcore FPS title.

The Gunsmith does feel slightly oversaturated with features. It's likely the majority of players won't use the Firing Range, not to mention the extensive statistical data made available to players after changing their weapons compensator. Despite the negative words, the developers haven't done anything wrong here — they've just provided too much.

The MW3 Multiplayer weapons are to be as expected; pretty damn good. The weapons manage to transport you from the sofa to the battlefields, allowing players to feel the recoil, hear the bullet casings hit the floor, and taste the gunpowder in the air. However, we don't expect any less from Modern Warfare weapons or combat experience.

MW3 Multiplayer Review: Verdict - 5/5

The Multiplayer is quite literally astonishing. The developers have presented players with a smashing experience through unforgettable gameplay and nostalgia, and the future of MW3 looks promising.

The major downside I've noticed on MW3 Multiplayer is the aggressive marketing choices. It feels like developers are begging for the playerbase to purchase Operators, DLC packs, COD points, and the battle pass. Messages to purchase this content arise every time you open the game, which is simply too much.

The score MW3 Multiplayer receives is a solid 5/5. There doesn't appear to be much fault or anything to complain about gameplay-wise. After several hours of playing Multiplayer, the only time rage was emitted was after dying to my own grenade. It's highly recommended you pick up MW3 Multiplayer and have a blast.
