Modern Warfare 3 Beta - Release Date, Early Access, Platforms, And More

Activision have announced that Modern Warfare 3 is set to release on November 10, 2023. Since then, players have been counting down the days until further details and trailers are released. On August 17, 2023, a trailer was finally revealed which gave fans their first glimpse at the gameplay for the upcoming title.

No amount of words can express the level of excitement players are feeling toward this release. Ever since the end-of-campaign teaser in Modern Warfare 2, players have been keen to learn more about the next Modern Warfare. Thankfully, an Open Beta is on the way, where players will be able to get their first hands-on experience with Modern Warfare 3.

Modern Warfare 3 Beta: Release Date & Details

Activision are continuing their schedule of Fall releases by launching Modern Warfare 3 on November 10, 2023. Ahead of this, however, will be some Open Beta weekends, much like with Modern Warfare 2. 

Players who pre-order the upcoming title will be given both Open Beta access and Early Access to the Campaign, allowing them to access the game prior to those who purchase on release day. This also allows those players to have a slight advantage, getting to know the title and learning it before everyone else gets access. Activision has confirmed that Early Access to the Campaign will be available up to one week ahead of the launch date. But as for the Open Beta, dates have yet to be confirmed. However, some sources have already formed speculations on the key dates.

Players who pre-purchase either the Standard or Vault Edition of Modern Warfare 3 will have access to the Open Beta. According to Insider Gaming, that will be split into two separate weekends: 

• Modern Warfare 3 Open Beta Weekend One: PlayStation, October 6 - October 10, 2023
• Modern Warfare 3 Open Beta Weekend Two: Xbox and PC, October 12 - October 16, 2023 

Pre-purchase is currently available across all platforms, via each one's respective digital storefronts. Those who pre-order physical editions will receive a code via email, or on their receipt, with an Open Beta access code to be redeemed.
