When does Black Ops Cold War and Warzone Season 2 release?

On 16th December 2020, Black Ops Cold War Season 1 released, accompanied by Warzone integration. This means, albeit a bit confusing, the next season of Warzone will be called Season 2. 

While there is still a lot of time left on the current season, we look towards the future, including the Warzone and Black Ops Cold War Season 2 release date, as well as the content rumoured to release with the next season.

Warzone & Black Ops Cold War Season 2 release date

The expected release date for Warzone and Black Ops Cold War Season 2 is 24th February 2021.

Neither Activision nor Treyarch has announced the exact release date for Season 2 to begin. However, this release date for Warzone and Black Ops Cold War Season 2 is based on the in-game Season 2 countdown timer. 

Keep in mind major updates for both titles normally occur on Wednesdays, so barring any delays, we should see Warzone and Black Ops Cold War Season 2 release on 24th February 2021.

Warzone Season 2 content: Ural Mountains & Battle Pass

You can expect Black Ops Cold War and Warzone Season 2 to have a tonne of new content available just like the first season when it's release date rolls around.

While Activision has not confirmed the content for Warzone and Black Ops Cold War Season 2, leaks have suggested a third Warzone map, Ural Mountains, might be on its way.

The Ural Mountains map is expected to release in celebration of the 1-year anniversary of Warzone. The map is technically already in Black Ops Cold War, where it is called Ruka, and should be much smaller than Verdansk.

Apart from the Ural Mountain leaks, we know very little about the Black Ops Cold War and Warzone Season 2 content. 

However, we can, as always, expect a new Battle Pass filled to the brim with content, from Operators to Blueprints. There should be a free and premium version, with 100 Tiers of content.

Going by Season 1's pricing, Season 2's Battle Pass should be priced at 1,000 COD points, which is roughly 10 USD. If you want to unlock an extra 20 tiers instantly, there's a bundle that costs 2,400 COD Points which includes the Battle Pass + 20 additional tiers.
