With the early access for the Black Ops 6 beta now concluded and the Open Beta arriving this weekend, the developers at Treyarch have taken some time to listen to fan feedback. For a concise overview, here are the beta changes according to the developers:
- Level cap raised to 30
- Weapon balancing
- Spawn tuning
- Increased Weapon XP earn rate
- Audio improvements
- Bug fixes and more
The weapon balancing updates are expected to impact the current meta, dominated by the Jackal PDW— a popular but divisive choice, leading to a "sweaty" experience for many players. This balancing might introduce competition or even a replacement for the Jackal PDW. Additionally, Treyarch has confirmed audio changes are coming.
Footstep prioritization and enemy sliding audio will be enhanced, allowing players to better pinpoint enemy movements. With the weapon level cap increased, players will be able to unlock the DM-10 semi-auto DMR, Ninja Perk, Tanto .22 SMG, and more, offering fairer fights as improved audio clarity will make locating enemies easier.
This is just a glimpse of the full list of changes coming in the Open Beta, and we'll make sure to provide a detailed update once all the information is available. See you all this weekend for the Black Ops 6 Open Beta!
