How to gain extra lives in Vampire Bloodhunt

Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodhunt is a traditional battle royale game with a bloodthirsty twist. Here, dying once doesn't necessarily mean it's game over. Instead, you get at least one more chance to get back and take everyone out to be the last one standing. 

Every archetype in Bloodhunt can gain extra lives multiple times in a session. If you're confused about earning extra lives in Vampire Bloodhunt and increasing your chance of surviving the battle royale, we've detailed how you can gain extra lives in Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodhunt.

How to get extra lives in Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodhunt?

You can gain extra lives by feeding on specific civilians in the game. Every civilian in Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodhunt offers one of the four stat buffs, whether it's increasing the cooldown rate of your Archetype or Clan ability or giving you an extra life.

You can recognise the civilians that can provide extra lives with their Orange coloured HUD. The description on their HUD also mentions "Extra Life," so you would know which civilian is the one you need.

Once you have found such a civilian, feed on them to gain an extra life. You can repeat this process throughout the game multiple times to increase your survival chances.

However, feeding on civilians takes a few seconds, which leaves you fully exposed and an easy target for any wandering players. Furthermore, suppose you get detected by other civilians while feeding on one; other players will be alerted of your location for the next sixty seconds, thus making you an easy target.

Another way to gain an extra life, or rather, not lose your life, is the brief downtime you get when other players shoot you. Use these few seconds to escape your enemy's line of sight so that they don't eliminate you.

If you overcome the downtime, you will come back alive from the downed state with half of your health without losing one of your lives.
