Battlefield 2042 early access has been made available, and it's safe to say that the latest title in the Battlefield franchise has its fair share of bugs and errors. While some players are having server issues, other players are not able to respawn in the game.
In addition to this, several players are getting the DirectX error while they try to open Battlefield 2042. While Electronic Arts has not shared any guaranteed fix to this error, you can still try the following potential fixes to solve the problem.
How to fix DirectX error in Battlefield 2042
DirectX error usually occurs when your graphics card isn't compatible with the game. In that case, you should check if your system meets the minimum requirements of Battlefield 2042 and if it does, try fixing the problem with these methods.
- The first thing you can do is update your GPU drivers if you don't have the latest one. You can do this by visiting the official AMD, NVIDIA, and Intel websites.
- You will face this issue if you don't have the latest version of DirectX. If that's the case, download and install it from Microsoft's website.
- Turn off Future Frame Rendering by going into the in-game settings, as it has solved the issue for a few players. You can find this option under the Display section.
If none of this fixes the DirectX error, you will have to wait for a hotfix or an update by Electronic Arts.
