How To Complete The Cooking With Winstock Quest In Bandle Tale?
Cooking with Winstock is one of two quests players receive from Gramps during the Return to Yarnville quest. This specific quest is linked to the Head Chef Badge, and completing the related quests will help them advance progress to unlock Skills relating to cooking and baking.
From Gramps' House, they can head to Rosalind's Garden, where they need to speak to Winstock, who is inside his kitchen, to ask him to teach them how to cook. Surprised by the request, Winstock tasks them with talking to Rosalind about gathering Glownana and Beets, which they can find in seed beds near Winstock's Kitchen and Glownana trees in Rosalind's Garden.
Once they've gathered enough Glownana and Beets, which they need the Natural Gathering Skill from the Nature Skill Tree, they can bring the ingredients back to Winstock. He'll instruct them to prepare the beets by using the Chopping Table to make Sliced Beets, which they'll need Leaf Plates that can be found inside the chest.
Speak to Winstock again, and he'll task players to use the Sliced Beets to make Baked Beets by baking them in the Chef's Oven. They need a heat source to find Firefly Bulbs from the Cooking Shelf, for which they need the Heat Conductor and Firefly Hunting Skills, and they need to place the bulbs inside the Heat Conductor bench.
After the bulbs are placed in the Heat Conductor bench, which heats the oven, they can add the Sliced Beets to the oven and wait for the beets to bake. Remove the beets after it's cooked before returning to Winstock to complete the quest.
Players will receive the following quest, Host a Food Stand, once they've spoken to Winstock, who'll congratulate them on successfully cooking a dish for hosting a Food Stand. After completion, they earn the Food Stand carpet for their Backpack and Dev, which consumes excess food with three Skill Points and 45 Badge XP.
