Baldur's Gate 3 is still on track to launch on Xbox this year according to the founder and CEO of Larian Studios, Swen Vincke.
In a tweet, Vincke had the following small statement to say about the planned Xbox Series X|S release of Baldur's Gate 3:
"Latest on the Xbox - being actively playtested, still on schedule for this year. We'll announce the exact release date when we're sure it's done."
While the PC version of Baldur's Gate 3 launched in August of this year, with the PlayStation version following a month later, the Xbox version has faced numerous issues due to Larian having issues getting split-screen co-op working on both Series X and Series S.
In August of this year, Vincke announced that the Xbox Series S version of Baldur's Gate 3 would no longer have split-screen co-op following a meeting with Phil Spencer, in an attempt to ensure that the game releases on as many platforms as possible. With the months currently whittling down, and only a small period of time left for the game to release this year, all eyes are on November and, failing an announcement in November, The Game Awards in December for a potential announcement.
