Despite criticisms by many fans who have already moved on from the title, AEW Fight Forever Season 2 rolls on and has one last DLC pack on the way. This latest batch of new content kicked off with Dynamite feat. The Acclaimed, and that was followed by Beat the Elite. We now finally have a release date for when The STORM is Coming will hit AEW Fight Forever.
The (Toni) STORM is Coming to AEW Fight Forever
The wait is almost over, as AEW Fight Forever DLC The STORM is Coming has been given an official release date. The final piece of Season 2 is set to hit all platforms on January 10, 2024.
On top of that, we do finally have confirmation that Toni Storm will be coming in this DLC. It's not like that was really hard to predict, but this is the first time AEW Games has shown footage and stated her character will be in AEW Fight Forever.
Unfortunately, the announcement is already being met with a lack of enthusiasm from fans. The timing of this AEW Fight Forever release has likely been in the works for months, as it takes a while for developers to refine models and do bug testing before sending something out to players.
As a result, this version of Toni Storm is arguably the least interesting one they could've included. While adoring fans have loved seeing "Timeless" Toni Storm on AEW programming as of late, this release is missing every element of that character change.
The good news is that an updated version of Toni Storm is certainly possible as an arrival in a potential AEW Fight Forever Season 3, but nothing has been announced thus far. We don't yet know if The STORM is Coming DLC will have other characters or what the cost will be for those who don't already have the Season 2 Pass, but it'll be live on Xbox, PlayStation, Switch, and PC on January 10, 2024.
