A Quiet Place: The Road Ahead, the new story-driven horror game based on the popular film franchise, got its first release trailer and a release window today. The game was first announced back in 2021 with little information surrounding the upcoming title at the time.
Saber Interactive, the developer behind A Quiet Place: The Road Ahead, described it as "capturing the frantic terror, unnerving atmosphere and gripping human drama that made the franchise famous." They note that it's designed not just for fans of the movies, but also for fans of horror games and "story-driven adventures" in general.
In the game, players will take on the role of a young woman struggling with the apocalypse while trying to cope with her own fears and struggles. Of course, the film franchise's key motifs of sound and silence will come into play. "Experience absolute horror as you hide, distract, and sneak past the ultimate predatory creatures," the game's official description reads. "But beware: even a single noise can give you away."
The new Quiet Place game is set to release some time in 2024 on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. While there's not a more specific release date quite yet, it's definitely great to hear that there's some updates surrounding the title. You can check out the trailer for yourself just below:
