After 10 years on Early Access, 7 Days to Die's 1.0 experimental build is finally available for players to check out and dive into. This is the game's final experimental build planned before the official final release on 25th on PC, with the console builds' final release also tentatively scheduled the same day.
If you'd like to check out the game for a lower price before the final release is out, you can check out the experimental build for yourself on Steam. It's available to the public and can be played by anyone who picks up a copy for $24.99 USD (2 packs available for $39.99 USD).
Once you've downloaded the game, you'll need to manually opt in to participate in the experimental build. Here's how to opt in to 7 Days to Die's 1.0 experimental build:
- Open Steam and navigate to your game Library
- Right-click on the game in Steam
- Click on 'Properties'
- Find and click the 'Betas' tab
- From the drop-down list, pick the 'latest_experimental' option
After completing those steps, you'll be able to participate in the 7 Days to Die v1.0 experimental build and check out the game one final time before its official release in July. Once the official release is finally out, you'll already have a copy for yourself!
