After a full year of excitement and DLC releases, fans are ready to turn their eyes towards the future as the WWE 2K25 release date can already be glimpsed on the horizon. The new year signals another chapter is on the way for many annual releases, and the announcements for these might be closer than some think.

With launch only a few months away, additional news and leaks about WWE 2K25 are expected to trickle out in the coming days and weeks. The next installment was already confirmed by publisher Take-Two Interactive, and our WWE 2K25 release date prediction pinpoints exactly when fans can expect it to arrive.

WWE 2K25 Release Date Prediction

There won't be official confirmation of the WWE 2K25 release date until the game is formally announced, and that usually comes along with key details like platforms and editions for the title. Fortunately, the WWE 2K franchise has been fairly consistent with their release schedule through the last few years.

With the exception of the series hiccup after WWE 2K20, they've stayed on track since WWE 2K22 relaunched the franchise. Last year, the WWE 2K24 release date was Friday, March 8, 2024. If we go back further, the WWE 2K23 release date was March 17, 2023, and WWE 2K22 released on March 11, 2022.

With all of this in mind, the expected WWE 2K25 release date is March 14, 2025. They could go a bit earlier with March 7, but it seems unlikely the title would push all the way back to February 28 or much further past March 14. WWE 2K24 released around two weeks after that year's Elimination Chamber event and about one month before WrestleMania. Elimination Chamber is scheduled for March 1, 2025, and WrestleMania 41 is scheduled for April 19 and April 20.

When will WWE 2K25 be revealed?

So far, the only detail confirmed for WWE 2K25 is that it's scheduled to release before the end of March 2025 based on recent Take-Two Interactive financial reports. The game is listed on their future line-up for 2025, but additional details are likely to arrive by the end of January 2025.

It's become tradition since WWE 2K22 for the game to get announced just before the annual Royal Rumble event, and that's set for February 1, 2025. Considering the time of week that these announcements also tend to favor, we expect the WWE 2K25 reveal date will be Tuesday, January 28, 2025. One additional factor to consider is that Saturday Night's Main Event is scheduled for January 25, so a reveal on January 21 or even during Saturday Night's Main Event itself are also possible.

This would confirm things in time for some tie-in promotional videos to be shown during the Royal Rumble, and it'll provide about six weeks for 2K to build towards launch. The WWE 2K25 cover star, platforms, and key game mode details will likely arrive in that first reveal. Special editions may also be announced, but sometimes those are saved for a few days after the initial reveal.
