There's a bit of a debate and maybe even some sour grapes in the World of Warcraft (WoW) community right now following the third wing of the Vault of the Incarnates raid for Looking for Raid (LFR) in Dragonfight opening up. It appears that anyone can now get the Embodiment of the Storm-Eater full dragonriding transformation for their Renewed Proto-Drake.
Since the Renewed Proto-Drake Embodiment of the Storm-Eater is only one of two full dragonriding transformations available in WoW Dragonflight Season 1, many believe it shouldn't be available in the "theme park tour" that is LFR. The only other transformation to earn tasks you with becoming one of the best PvP players out there, aka getting Gladiator in Season 1.
Update on 9 February 2023: We've updated this article to reflect any new information about the Renewed Proto-Drake Embodiment of the Storm-Easter transformation. Yes, it is available in LFR!
How to Get Renewed Proto-Drake Embodiment of the Storm-Eater in WoW Dragonflight
Previously, it was believed that the Renewed Proto-Drake Embodiment of the Storm-Eater was only available in Vault of the Incarnates Normal, Heroic or Mythic difficulties. However, with the final wing opening, players have discovered you can get this full dragonriding transformation from LFR, as reported by WoWHead.
It is very simple to get if RNG is on your side. Players will have to defeat the final boss (Raszageth) of the third Vault of the Incarnates wing in any difficulty, including LFR, for a chance at getting it.
It is a Drakewatcher manuscript item, which, on use, does the following: "Unlocks this customization option for the Renewed Proto-Drake at the Rostrum of Transformation."
Embodiment of the Storm-Eater Drop Rate in Vault of the Incarnates LFR
The exact Renewed Proto-Drake Embodiment of the Storm-Eater drop rate is unknown. However, some players have reported seeing two drops in one LFR run. In other difficulties, the drop rate is between 5 and 10%, and from the initial reports, this appears to be the same in LFR.

No matter if you agree or disagree with Blizzard's decision, everyone and their pet Murloc will likely want to get Renewed Proto-Drake Embodiment of the Storm-Eater dragonriding transformation, and we can already see Azeroth slowly filling up with it.
We will endeavor to update this article if anything changes. For now, go forth and slay Raszageth in LFR for a chance at getting this awesome transformation in WoW Dragonflight.
