League of Legends: Wild Rift is now onto v2.0 and Season 1 of the competitive calendar is just about to start. So it is time to get serious, we have been breaking down each champion showing you how to get the most out of each.
Now it's time to talk about one of the most famous champions in the entire franchise, known for her monstrous scaling and her deadly long-range attacks, with explosive damage that sets her apart from many champions. This is Jinx, the Loose Cannon.
Jinx: Her active and passive skills

With her passive ability Get Excited!, Jinx will receive bonus attack and movement speed when she helps take down an enemy champion, epic monster, or structure.
Let's move on to her active skills:
- Switcheroo!: Jinx will alternate between her weapons Pow-Pow, her minigun and Fishbones, her rocket launcher. Pow-Pow attacks grant attack speed, while Fishbones attacks deal area damage and have longer range, but waste mana.
- Zap!: Jinx will use Zapper, her shock pistol, to fire a projectile that deals damage, slows and reveals the first enemy hit.
- Flame Chompers!: Throws a line of snare grenades that will explode after five seconds. The Flame Chompers will bite and immobilize enemy champions who walk on them.
- Ultimate - Super Mega Death Rocket!: Shoot a super rocket across the map that increases its damage as it progresses. When colliding with an enemy champion, it will deal damage to it and nearby enemies based on their missing health.
Recommended Runes and Spells for Jinx
Jinx is famous for her deadly attacks and her scaling when she has the lane in her favour, in addition to her unbalancing and surprising abilities making enemies hesitant to come up against her when she has allies in her favour. These are her recommended runes:
- Conqueror: Grants a cumulative damage bonus when dealing damage to enemy champions, synergizing with her passive when activated.
- Triumph: Champion takedowns restore 10% of missing health. Allows you to deal an additional 3% damage to enemies below 35% health.
- Loyalty: You and your closest ally gain 2 armour and 5 bonus magic resistance.
Sweet Tooth: Grants bonus gold and healing when consuming Honeyfruit.

Being played primarily in the bottom lane, her summoner spells are well known:
- Flash: Allows you to have more offensive options to enter combat, in addition to serving as an escape tool.
- Healing: Use it as an emergency tool, both for its health recovery and for the movement speed it grants.
The best items for Jinx

Your items should be focused on her offensive and siege stats, as well as increasing her attack speed. Additionally, items with armour penetration and omnivampirism can result in a Jinx with a brutal fight duration.
- Infinity Edge: Increases the chance and damage of critical attacks, dramatically increasing DPS.
- Gluttonous Greaves: Grants omnivampirism, giving you a better chance to survive in fights. We recommend using them with Quicksilver Enchant for crowd control.
- Rapid Firecannon: Dramatically increases basic attack range and critical strike chance.
- Guardian Angel: The revival of its passive along with its bonus attack damage allows you to fully attack squarely, without risking giving away a kill along the way.
Along with these objects, you can complement your composition with the following:
- Defensive: Phantom Dancer, which will give you a shield when you are low on life, and the Bloodthirster, to have more lifesteal and a passive shield.
- Offensive: Youmuu's Ghostblade and Mortal Reminder, for more explosive damage and additional armour penetration.
Tips for Jinx’s play style

Since her introduction in 2013, Jinx has become one of the game's flagship characters, reaching high pick and ban ratios both due to her popularity and her power in the metagame, in which, despite its constant evolution, has kept her relevant to this day.
Except for the obvious in terms of her weapons, Jinx's abilities require a lot of control in terms of vision, enemies’ positioning and above all, the aim you have when using these, since a single movement can mean both a kill but also an epic monster steal.
For the early game, try to keep an eye on the river and the enemy entrances, this in an effort not to die due to the lack of mobility at the beginning. In addition, it’s important to take advantage of Fishbones to clean minion groups when they are low on health, but don’t abuse it so as not to destroy your mana.

To hook enemies, when having ambushes from your ally jungle or entrances from your support, practice your aim with Sparkle. This will give you a better chance to take advantage of it so you can get a kill or drive the enemy back.
In case you have problems with opponents coming from both sides, use your Flame Choppers to stop or deflect them. This will give you a better reaction time, so you can take the lead or wait for your allies when they rotate to your aid.
Your deadly rocket, Jinx's weapon par excellence, will be decisive throughout the game. Both for the early game when you want to finish off your opponents, as in team fights to unbalance and eliminate your enemies with the damage of its explosion, and if you have vision and knowledge of the damage, you can use it to steal objectives such as dragons or the Baron Nashor.
Jinx is a champion with a very simple but dangerous set of skills, however, you must learn to use it in the best way to take advantage of all these and use them to their maximum potential.
