Over the last decade, crossplay and cross-progression have become one of the most requested features in any multiplayer or live-service title. While MMOs are still lagging in this department, restricting players not just on the same platforms but also on the same server regions, notable live-service games like Fortnite and Destiny 2 are thriving by enabling cross-play across all platforms.
Warframe is one of the most popular free-to-play MMO/looter-shooters on the market and fans have long yearned for cross-play and cross-progression. But have these features finally arrived in this massively popular title?

Does Warframe Support Crossplay? Answered
Yes, after years-long wait, crossplay is available in Warframe. In a December 2022 update, Digital Extremes finally deployed the much-requested feature in the game.
Crossplay in Warframe is available across all platforms, so it doesn't matter whether someone's on PC, PlayStation, Xbox, or Nintendo because you can play with anyone. However, you can't voice chat with someone on a different platform though the studio is working to add that feature at a later date. Likewise, crossplay trading and gifting will also be added later on.
Another feature that's missing from Warframe is cross-save. However, the studio has confirmed that it's working to bring this feature into the game.
How to Enable Crossplay in Warframe
To enable crossplay in Warframe, go to the Options menu and select System. You can find the option to enable Cross Platform Play at the bottom.
When crossplay is active, you will notice a platform icon next to your character. Furthermore, players on different platforms will have the crossplay icon next to their names. Players with the same names on different platforms will have numeric suffixes to help distinguish one from another.
Aside from story missions and other matchmaking activities, you can also interact with players of different platforms in Warframe's Relays and Dojos.
That's everything you need to know about crossplay in Warframe.
