Sony Entertainment's Until Dawn movie adaptation is set to hit the big screens later this year, and fans are only just now getting a first look at what it'll be with the film's first trailer. Ella Rubin, Michael Cimino, Odessa A’zion, Ji-young Yoo, Belmont Cameli, and Maia Mitchell will play in the film, attempting to stay alive as they're all stuck in an abandoned ski lodge together for the weekend.

Writer and producer Gary Dauberman, along with director David F. Sandberg, also discuss the film and their roles in its making in the short first look video.

Check out the sneak peek for yourself just below:

"As a huge fan of the Until Dawn game and how cinematic it was, I thought a lot about how we can continue the story without just giving the audience the same experience that they got when they were playing," Dauberman said.

While the Until Dawn games rely on players making choices and characters dying or otherwise being impacted by them, the movie takes a different approach, instead placing the characters in an inevitable and endless time loop. It's meant to replicate the feeling of dying and restarting right over again, just like in the video game that the movie is inspired by, but it's certainly a little different on the big screen. The lack of interactivity could impact the film for better or worse, and it'll be interesting to see how it all plays out.

The Until Dawn movie adaptation is set for a 25 April 2025 release.
