Everyone's excited to play the new Final Fantasy VII remake, with no better way to show your enthusiasm than cosplaying one of the many iconic characters from the Square Enix game.
Sadly, Twitch chat, which can be infamously toxic, found a way to ruin things on the eve of one of 2020's most anticipated games, with the victim this time around being South Korean Twitch streamer, Jinnytty.
During one of her recent broadcasts, Jinny decided to show off her Tifa cosplay in anticipation for FFVII's release, however, a lot of users on chat berated and mocked her for not being sexy enough, which devastated her to the point she broke down on tears explaining how humiliating these comments felt towards her.
Her breakdown came after numerous attempts at explaining her cosplay, citing Twitch's terms of services, with the risk of getting banned from the platform.
Luckily, Jinny's spirits were lifted up and she is still planning on streaming Final Fantasy VII.
Hopefully, the recently added security options for streamers and tools for mods help prevent these types of situations in the near future.
