Capcom has confirmed the tragic passing of Jeanette Maus, a voice actress who played a central in Resident Evil Village, lending her skills to multiple characters.
The news came after her eight-month struggle battling colon cancer as well as suffering complications after contracting COVID-19. Maus also suffered from Crohn's disease, a chronic autoimmune disease in the digestive system.

An actress, acting teacher, and a writer with credits in films such as My Effortless Brilliance and Your Sister’s Sister, Jeanette Maus' most recent work was in the latest title in the Resident Evil franchise, where she portrayed several characters, including one of the main villains of the game.
Capcom acknowledged her passing and gave its condolences to the family and close ones of the talented actress, who according to the studio, managed to finish all her recordings for the game, which will be released on 7th May.
