PlayStation fans have been waiting for quite a while now to hear about the future of PlayStation, and according to Jeff Grubb, there's not long to wait.
Grubb, a noted and respected industry insider, and journalist, stated on his Twitter that he's expecting a PlayStation Showcase on the week of May 25th due to information that he has received from his sources. If true, it's likely that we see an announcement of the show at some point over the next week.
It's likely that the showcase will include a substantial focus on Marvel's Spider-Man 2, especially seeing as that game is intended to be the big Christmas release for Sony, and we've only seen one trailer and one oft-repeated still from the game so far. We don't even know any gameplay details for the title, so any PlayStation Showcase needs to double down on that title while still showing off new releases and what we can expect.
Speaking of new releases, Andy Robinson from VGC has stated multiple times that he expects to see the rumored Metal Gear Solid 3 remake in an upcoming PlayStation show, along with several other Konami properties. While he didn't specify which properties, this could include franchises such as Silent Hill and Castlevania.
