Wrong Organ and CRITICAL REFLEX's 2024 indie horror Mouthwashing has now sold over 300,000 copies, a milestone that the game's developers say they "never anticipated passing."
"More than a quarter-million copies sold – that’s an achievement we would make jokes about," the team writes. "And now that we are here, seriously, we can’t thank you enough for making this happen."
Mouthwashing was released on September 26, 2024, and was first announced earlier in 2024 as part of a How Fish Is Made update. How Fish Is Made is Wrong Organ's debut game, while Mouthwashing is its second title.
Since its release, Mouthwashing has received wide critical acclaim - including a 9.5/10 review score from us here at Ginx.TV and an 86 overall score on Metacritic. Mouthwashing is also currently a finalist for Outstanding Story-Rich Game in the Steam Awards.
"Thank you for every playthrough, every moment spent in Mouthwashing, and every bit of emotion you shared with us. Here’s to the next big milestone — we can’t wait to share it with you," the team wrote.
