Conan Exiles initially launched on 8th May 2018; however, on 21st June 2022, the developers announced that the largest free update since launch, titled "Age of Sorcery," would release in the third quarter (Q3) of 2022.

Conan Exiles is an online multiplayer survival game boasting an expansive open world filled with intense combat. The game features several loot-filled dungeons and siege wars, in which players will assert their dominance, rising into a mighty barbarian, or die trying.

The Age of Sorcery is the most significant update to Conan Exiles since its launch and introduces a slew of new gameplay content, highlighted below per the game's official blog post on Steam.

Battle Pass and Black Lotus Bazaar

Each Age will have a unique theme, free content, and Battle Passes. Players can advance in the Battle Pass by completing sets of rotating tasks called Challengers, earning exclusive themed rewards.

These range from various objectives that often involve events to a new kind of encounter that makes the Exiled Lands and Isle of Siptah more alive and dangerous than ever. There's also a new item store called Bazaar that makes paid DLC content easier to access and browse; the Bazaar does not contain anything about player power.

Sorcery

Conan Exiles will play host to Sorcery, an entirely new system introduced to the game. Players will have a choice to sacrifice their life force in return for corrupting sorceries, ranging from slinging fireballs and magic missiles to conjuring new demonic allies, darkness, call-down storms, and more.

Attributes Improvements

Attributes have been overhauled, allowing players to specialize their character by choosing between two powerful perks at every other attribute milestone. For example, players pursuing the dark path of Sorcery can infuse their strength, vitality, and charisma with corruption.

Building Revamp and Creative Mode

Likewise, the Age of Sorcery update will introduce a new dedicated building interface, making it easy to construct camps and cities. The game also includes a new Creative Mode, granting players unprecedented freedom to build without costs or restrictions.

Follower Updates

There are also multiple changes to followers, with players being able to trap demons and undead as followers. The developers have also tweaked balancing, reducing follower health overall, and tied follower damage to the Charisma attribute.
