Grab Amerzone: The Explorer’s Legacy On Steam For Free

Before the iconic Syberia and Syberia 2 games from author Benoît Sokal, there was Amerzone: The Explorer’s Legacy. This adventure is quite underrated, in my opinion, and Microids have been hard at work creating this 1999 classic for the modern era.

With the 2025 version releasing on 24 April, it's time for gamers to get a taste of what Amerzone: The Explorer's Legacy is all about. To this end, Microids is making the original game free on Steam.

The only caveat is that you must claim Amerzone: The Explorer's Legacy on Steam before 24 March at 17:00 UTC. If you do claim the game in time, it is yours to keep and play at your leisure. Just head on over to the game's Steam page and click on "Add To Account."

Answer the call of exploration as you travel to the Amerzone, a forgotten Latin American country, to fulfill the last wishes of a late explorer.
