Throughout Valheim, one of the more common items players will find and pick up is a trophy of some kind.
In the early stages of the game, you’ll likely find boar and deer trophies left and right since you need to kill them for meat and hide. Of course, as you progress in the game, more creatures will become available and more trophies will litter your inventory.
The trophies are used for different reasons in Valheim. Some are solely for decoration purposes but others are used in crafting certain pieces of armour. For example, a Wolf Trophy is needed to craft the Wolf Armour Chest.
Also falling in that category is a piece from the Drake armour set. One of the pieces of armour requires a Drake Trophy but players have found that acquiring one isn’t as simple as it seems.

Drake Trophies are, unsurprisingly, found through killing Drakes. Once you kill one of the beasts with your bow, they will drop a Freeze Gland and, hopefully, a Drake Trophy.
To find Drakes, you simply need to make your way up a snowy mountain. Drakes line the tops of mountains and as long as you have a decent bow and arrows, killing them should be no trouble.
However, what is trouble is actually getting the Drakes to drop a trophy. The drop rate for this item is lower than most other trophies in Valheim, meaning you need to kill quite a few of the winged monsters to acquire the item.

Although, once you do, you’re then on your way to crafting the Drake Helmet. You need two Drake Trophies for this piece of armour, along with 20 Silver and 2 Wolf Pelts, so it could take you some time to accomplish.
