Those who run either type of server will likely need to know the Valheim server admin console commands, and how to use them. To use any Valheim server admin commands, you will first need to gain access to the game's command console.

Thankfully, this process is straightforward, and shouldn't take more than a few minutes to get going.

Follow the steps below to use Valheim console commands:

• Launch Valheim.
• Create your own server (full guide here).
• Once in-game, press "F5".

Your Valheim command console is now open, and you can start using server admin commands.

There's a total of eight Valheim server admin commands to use. With these commands, you can kick or ban players from your server, get additional information, unban players, and more.

• help - Shows all the available server commands
• kick [name/ip/userID] - Kicks the named user
• ban [name/ip/userID] - Bans the named user
• unban [ip/userID] - Unbans the named user
• banned - Shows a full list of banned users
• ping - Pings the server to measure latency.
• lodbias [number] - Sets the draw distance for the server. The number can be set from 1 to 5.

For those who are struggling with poor performance in their dedicated server, the lodbias command is definitely something to consider. The higher the number (from 1 to 5), the higher the draw distance, which will be more taxing on your server PC.
