Bane the Shadowblade is a roaming boss encountered in the Dunley Farmlands. He is often found near the Haunted Iron Mine and the Vendor area of Dunley Farmlands. To track him down, you must use the Blood Tracker for the best results. However, be aware that the tracker may lead you astray and leave you questioning your sanity. This is because Bane the Shadowblade disguises himself as a human.

In particular, only after attacking him and breaking his Human Form will he reveal himself and retaliate. In Dunley Farmlands, you will encounter many enemies disguised as humans, so don't be surprised if you attack someone who turns out to be a skeleton warrior. It's important to note that Bane the Shadowblade does not have an arena, which makes fighting him during the day extremely challenging.

V Rising: How To Beat Bane The Shadowblade

Bane the Shadowblade may be a Level 47 Blood Carrier in V Rising, but he still presents as a particularly challenging and frustrating boss to fight. As a Blood Carrier, he possesses considerable strength and abilities that can test even experienced players. To have a chance against him, we highly recommend having a Gear Score of 43 or higher with Iron Weapons, considering the strength of the enemies you will face.

Blood Type

The best Blood Type to equip against Bane is Brute Blood with a Blood Quality of 50%+. This is because there will be multiple units in this fight from which you can Life Leech. The additional sustain provided by Brute Blood is tremendously helpful, especially since Bane can incapacitate you, leaving you stunned and vulnerable to follow-up attacks. Additionally, since this fight takes place on the roads, you will be able to heal by draining the life of patrolling soldiers. The second choice is Chaos Barrier, which can counter multiple attacks in a row rather than just one. Additionally, it inflicts Ignite on enemies that attack, dealing 50% magic damage over 5 seconds.

Offensive Spells

Let's discuss the offense strategy to defeat Bane the Shadowblade in V Rising. When it comes to offense, you'll need spells with a very fast cast time, as Bane moves around a lot, splits into multiple forms, and even turns invisible, making slower spells almost unusable. Frost Bat is an excellent choice in this regard. It allows you to fire two projectiles in quick succession, each dealing 100% magic damage and applying Chill to enemies hit. If enemies are already under the effect of Chill and get hit again, they will Freeze. This makes Frost Bat ideal for controlling any summoned or external mobs that may interfere with the fight.

Another great option is Spectral Wolf, which fires a single fast projectile dealing 125% magic damage upon impact and then bounces between enemies, dealing less damage with each bounce. Additionally, Spectral Wolf inflicts Weaken on impact, reducing enemies' damage output by 15% for 5 seconds. This aspect of the spell makes it particularly effective against multiple opponents, which is perfect for dealing with Bane the Shadowblade, as he will summon numerous assassins to attack you.

Bane's Moveset

These disguised humans will periodically shift into assassins, launching backstab attacks and throwing daggers at you. By doing so, Bane the Shadowblade will reappear and resume melee combat. Next, he will turn invisible and circle you, attempting a backstab from behind. If successful, this will incapacitate you for 2 seconds. This is where your defensive ability will come in handy. Keep up the strategy of countering his attacks, and Bane the Shadowblade will again split into multiple humans. However, this time the attacks will occur more frequently, with an increase in backstabs and ranged attacks overall.
