Is UFC 5 on PC?

The latest installment of the franchise has arrived, but can players dive into UFC 5 on PC?

Now that the wait is finally over, UFC 5 is blasting onto platforms for early access and bringing the fight game back to players. As the release continues to gain buzz thanks upgraded controls and new features, more and more gamers are checking in to see if it's something they want to snag. Unfortunately, we've got some bad news if you're hoping to play UFC 5 on PC.

Sadly, UFC 5 is not available on PC. Like the previous release, UFC 5 is a console exclusive. However, it is the first in the franchise to be exclusive to new generation Xbox Series X|S and PS5 consoles.

There has been no official word from EA Sports about moving UFC 5 to PC, so any potential PC version of the game would likely have to be a cracked mod of the console version. Alternatively, players may also be able to play UFC 5 through their PC using a remote play option, but that would require also running it on a console and only streaming the gameplay to your PC instead.

The only game in the franchise to leave consoles was actually the original EA Sports UFC released in 2014, which first dropped on PS4 and Xbox One but got an iOS and Android mobile release the next year. UFC 2, UFC 3, and UFC 4 all released as console exclusives on both PS4 and Xbox One.

The move by publisher EA Sports and developer EA Vancouver makes UFC 5 one of the first major sports games to forego a past generation release. Major sports titles like Madden 24 and NBA 2K24 are only now starting to catch their own PC releases up to next gen standards, as past installments had seen features gated to PS5 and Xbox Series X|S verions even if the title did get a PC release.

By keeping UFC 5 specific to Xbox Series X|S and PS5, we at least know that the title by default only runs at one quality level. Should EA Sports decide to proceed with a PC port of the title, it at least seems sure that it won't be stripped of any major features.
