Out of 154 competitors, sixth best ranked player in the world Zain Naghmi won the Singles tournament without dropping a game a day after winning Doubles with Johnny "S2J" Kim. S2J himself finished fourth in Singles.
As a result, the lion's share of the €3,500 Singles prize pool and the Doubles' modest €1,500 total prize pool have gone to him.
Fox player Aaron "Professor Pro" Thomas had to settle for second place in both Singles and Doubles at the hands of the renowned Marth main.
DreamHack was a sick event. Glad I didnt play terrible for once lol.

Was super tired vs Zain but honestly would have been ultra hard playing at 100% regardless.

Earlier this month, Zain had placed second in Singles at The Big House 9 after a full Grand Final reset from Joseph "Mango" Marquez saw the community favourite steal away the win.
The next notable Melee event is set to be Syndicate 2019: Melee, with DreamHack Rotterdam participants including Professor Pro, Adam "Setchi" Farmer, Alvaro "Trif" Garcia Moral and Roberto "Overtriforce" Iglesias in attendance.
