Capcom has completely revamped the ranked match system in Street Fighter 6, aiming to cater to the diverse needs of all types of fighting game enthusiasts. The new system is designed to offer rookies a sense of accomplishment while ensuring that the game masters can play against each other to showcase their skills.
As a result, Capcom has introduced a ranks list specifically for Street Fighter 6, enabling players to progress through different divisions as they compete in the Battle Hub. To understand the Street Fighter 6 ranks better, it's important to know how the game's ranking system works. Fortunately, we have compiled the entire list below for your convenience, saving you the hassle of searching for it elsewhere.
What Are The Different Ranks In Street Fighter 6?
Street Fighter 6 online rank tiers are divided into eight categories, which are listed below:
- Rookie
- Iron
- Bronze
- Silver
- Gold
- Platinum
- Diamond
- Master
Each league also has different rank systems. For instance, Gold is just the beginning. You must still battle from Gold 1 to Gold 5 before advancing. That’s how online games work, no matter if they’re fighters or not.
League Points (LP) decide your rank. You earn more LP when you beat your opponents. This allows you to move closer to the next rank with each win, or fall down, maybe even to the inferior rank if you carry on losing.
Remember that Ranks are tied to the character and not your profile, so you could have a Master Ryu and a Bronze Guile, for instance. This makes the ranked system fairer by considering your individual skill with each character, rather than matching you with Master rank players, even if you are using a character you hardly know in Street Fighter 6.
How To Rank Up In Street Fighter 6
To level up in Street Fighter 6, you need to rack up enough LP to enter the next league. The LP you need to level up changes based on your current league and rank. For example, to go from Rookie to Iron, you need 100 LP. To go from Iron 5 to Bronze, you need 500 LP. To go from Bronze 5 to Silver, you need 1000 LP. And so forth.
However, there's no need to worry about dropping too much in your Street Fighter 6 league journey. There's a safety net in place starting from the Iron rank and above. Once you reach Gold or Master rank, you won't be demoted to a lower rank like Silver or Bronze.
However, be careful about your LP (League Points) within your current rank. If your LP falls below 500 in Bronze 1, you'll be moved down to Bronze 2.
