The Log Sled was one of the most popular items players used to cart around items, including Wooden Logs, to their base in The Forest. While this item is not available in the sequel, players can get their hands on the Printed Sled in Sons of the Forest instead. That said, many players might wonder how to craft it. And, as it turns out, it's not so challenging, requiring you to locate a 3D printer and Printer Resin. This guide details how to get a Printed Sled to slide down hills in Sons of the Forest.
How To Get Printed Sled In Sons Of The Forest
As mentioned, you'll need to locate a 3D Printer before you can craft a Printed Sled in Sons of the Forest. This item can be found at an underground bunker near the helicopter crash site on the island's west coast. It's the same place where you'll find the Guest Keycard and Chainsaw in Sons of the Forest. The room should be easy to find once you're inside.
We advise not crafting anything else but the Printed Sled here, as it requires plenty of Printer Resin and time to complete the crafting. More specifically, to make the item, you'll need 1000 ml (one liter) of Printer Resin and 20 minutes for the 3D Printer to produce the Printed Sled in Sons of the Forest.
While you might not have enough Printer Resin at the early stages of the game, there are cartridges of Printer Resin and Duct Tape on the shelves in this room, which you can loot. Once you've got enough material, return to the 3D Printer, load it with the Print Resin, and start printing the Printed Sled from the laptop.
With the Printed Sled immediately in your inventory, you will want to use it to cart around items, but it may appear differently by its appearance. Nevertheless, you can use it to slide down mountains and snowy hills and soften falls to avoid massive fall damage.
It can also serve as a good way to escape from enemies downhill if you have it equipped before using the jump or action key/button to hold it out. Then, left-click your mouse to slide using the Printed Sled. On the other hand, if you want to carry items, including Logs, you can always signal Kelvin to do it.
