The planter is one of the few crafting structures players should consider long-term, especially as you amass a collection of seeds. As you’ll gain seeds when harvesting various plants and flowers, a planter lets you grow them in a fertile environment and gives you access to their produce.
As you can plant seeds to grow plants used in making food and other consumables, it can also grow resources that can be crafted in creating the Health Mix. So, we've detailed in this guide how to build the standing and wall planters in Sons of the Forest.
How To Build The Planter In Sons Of The Forest (Standing)?
To begin crafting the planter, check the structure’s blueprints via the Guide Book, as you’ll need to view the resources required to craft it. You’ll need 18 sticks to build one standing planter, as you can send Kelvin out to collect them before returning to the blueprint found under the Gardening section of the Guide Book.
Click on the standing planter blueprint and select the placement of where you want to put it, and begin crafting the planter, and it will fill up with soil upon its completion. With the planter crafted, you can approach it, plant whichever seeds you have in your inventory, and press the corresponding key or button to plant them in the planter.
How To Build The Planter In Sons Of The Forest (Wall)?
The other planter option you can craft is the wall planter which is affixed to any wall surface but requires fewer resources. As it needs 16 sticks, which you can get Kelvin to collect, head back into the Guide Book and ensure it’s in your left hand before finding the blueprint.
It can be found below the standing planter, and once you’ve selected the wall planter, choose the wall surface you want to place the planter and start building. Once it’s done, like with the standing planter, you can proceed to plant seeds which you can find in your inventory.
We suggest prioritizing your health first, as you can grow Aloe Vera and Yarrow plants needed to make the Health Mix, and you can get their seeds when harvesting them. As Aloe Vera is relatively harder to come by, growing this plant means you’ll have access to the plant more readily than having to search for them.
