Sons of the Forest has received its first update since its recent launch, and with it comes a swathe of new content features and fixes. One addition to the game is the ability to spy on the residents of the island or see enemies coming from a distance with the newly added Binoculars.
If you're eager to get your hands on the binoculars and try them out yourself, then we have you covered. This guide will show you how to locate and find the binoculars in Sons of the Forest.
How To Get The Binoculars In Sons of the Forest
The binoculars can be found in only one location on the island, and thankfully you won't need any other items to get to them like a shovel or keycard. To get to it, make your way to the Northwestern part of the island, near the cave where you'll find the Rebreather and stun gun as shown on the map below.
This is the same location where you'll find the Kayack containing the camouflage suit, only now it will hold an extra gift for players, the binoculars. The camouflage suit is also worth taking for your partner Virginia, but the binoculars are equally as important here, so if you have to make a long journey to find this location, we recommend stocking up on supplies and doing so as it's very worth your while.
Near this location are a few crates as well that you should plunder for the loot to help you survive, but once you have the binoculars it should be a bit easier overall. They can help you by scouting out new areas you want to explore in the game and finding a route that can get you safely past the dangerous cannibals and mutants.
You can also use the binoculars to survey the area around your base, letting you see enemies coming in advance and plan your countermeasures effectively, whether that be fighting back or running. Overall the binoculars are extremely useful items for any survivor to have on their person in Sons of the Forest, and now that you know where to find them, you'll be more likely to survive this harsh environment.
