Latest RDR Remake News & Leaks
The Remaster wasn't great, so we are hoping to hear something about a possible RDR Remake this year.
The PlayStation 4 and Switch port for the original Red Dead Redemption (NOT A REMAKE) is releasing on 17 August.
With a GTA 6 announcement rumored to happen in 2023, we can't help but wonder if we will see some kind of Red Dead Redemption Remake tease this year as well.
There is almost no chance of the Red Dead Redemption remake showing up at The Game Awards 2022 but nothing is impossible.
Tune in the watch The Game Awards 2022 via the YouTube stream embedded below. It kicks off on 8 December at 7:30 PM ET / 4:30 PM PT and 9 December at 00:30 GMT.
Red Dead Redemption Remake Release Date Speculation
At the time of writing, there is no official confirmed release date for Red Dead Redemption Remake, but in this article, you’ll find all (if any) information that the developer shared, as well as some speculation from Ginx on when we could see it launch.
Although there has been tons of speculation and rumors floating around (as you would expect with such a dedicated fanbase), Rockstar has given us no clear indication yet that a remaster is in development.
This ultimately means we can't draw any conclusions as to which year the game might drop as we usually would for other releases, but based on the studio's activity as they are working on GTA 6, we expect its release to be a long way off.
But be sure to check back here soon as we get more news and the official word from the developers and update our information.
Red Dead Redemption Remake - Leaks & News
While there are no official leaks for the Red Dead Redemption Remake, we can look at some fan speculations and creations to get an idea of what to expect. Most notable would be the jaw-dropping trailer created by ENFANT TERRIBLE using Unreal Engine 5, which gives us an idea of what the remake could look like.
Though there were some supposed leaks recently that claimed to showcase screenshots from the remaster. But this was quickly shot down and found to be a fake leak, so for now, we're still coming up dry on any viable leaks.

Red Dead Redemption Remake Platforms
We also have an idea of what platform the game will be released on. Given the track record of Rockstars publisher Take-Two Interactive, it's highly likely that the remake would be the next-gen exclusive. So players can expect to play the Red Dead Redemption remake on current and next-gen consoles.
Sadly, we doubt it would be available on the Nintendo Switch due to its limited capabilities and the game assured high graphical fidelity. Lastly, if you can't wait to play the remake and want to play the original on current consoles, you can still go back and play the original on the current-gen platforms.
For now, that's all we know regarding the possible Red Dead Redemption remake/remaster. As more information is released, we will update this article, so be sure to check back here frequently.
