When Zacian was added to Pokémon GO last year, it was hard to tell where the Warrior Pokémon would sit in the meta. Now that the Hero Duo has had some time to settle beyond the World Championship weekend, it's easier to tell what the best movesets and weaknesses are.
As a Fairy-type Pokémon, Zacian has a ton of potential in the GO Battle League and in PvE raids. However, the raids and the Leagues you pick can make or break the Warrior Pokémon entirely. Our moveset and weaknesses guide will outline exactly how to utilize the Fairy-type Legendary.
Best Zacian Moveset in Pokémon GO
The best moveset for any Pokémon will always depend on what you want to use them for. PvE raids and the GO Battle League can change a significant amount. Despite those differences, a few moves usually stand out among the rest and mold a meta moveset.
When you choose a fast attack for Zacian, the best option is always Snarl. There are four moves to choose from, and regardless of the type of content you are in, Snarl will always stand out. The Dark-type attack has high damage and fast charging times and is excellent for a Fairy-type Pokémon to use.

Next, you'll need your first charge attack. Close Combat is a fantastic Fighting-type move that has tons of damage and acts as a nuke. However, it has a self-debuff you'll need to worry about. This can be swapped with Wild Charge for another fast option because both have self-debuffs.
For PvE especially, your second charge attack should be Play Rough. This attack is a Fairy-type move and the first one to utilize the typing of Zacian. In general, Fairy-type damage does well in Pokémon GO and that sentiment doesn't change here.
Zacian Weaknesses in Pokémon GO
Considering Zacian doesn't have the more powerful form in the mobile game yet, you'll have to rely on the single Fairy-type. While it's still a strong type, it makes the weaknesses and counters fairly straightforward. You'll need to know these if you plan on using an XL Candy Warrior Pokémon in the Master League.
Steel-types and Poison-types are the most effective options against Zacian. They both deal 160% more damage when the right attacks are used. Some good picks are Metagross, Dialga, Dragonite, and Mewtwo.
The counters are more versatile when you try to take down Zacian in raids rather than the GO Battle League. However, you should stick to the same few types if you can.
