Eevee has always been one of the fan-favorite picks in Pokémon GO or within the franchise due to the Eeveelutions it has. These evolutions are always fun to pursue, and it just so happens that they are part of the Evolving Stars Collection Challenge for the next week.
If you're used to Pokémon GO, you'll know that evolving Eevee without any direction gives you a random evolution in the form of Vaporeon, Jolteon, or Flareon. Without some assistance, these can be frustrating to get, but we have the answers to make the Evolving Challenge just a little easier.
Pokémon GO - How to evolve Eevee into Vaporeon, Jolteon, or Flareon
For Trainers who are taking on the Evolving Stars event challenges, you'll notice that it's only the three original Eeveelutions from Kanto that are part of the collection. You won't have to worry about any of the other forms, despite them all being available in the mobile game.

If you've never obtained a Vaporeon, Jolteon, or Flareon, then you're in luck. You get one free name used for each of the Eeveelutions that guarantee the version you want. All you have to do is enter the right name for that specific Eevee in the menu section. Once you set a name, it will automatically evolve into a specific form.
Below you can find all three names for the original Eeveelutions along with the names of the forms added later in Pokémon GO.
Eeveelution Names:
- Vaporeon - Rainer
- Flareon - Pyro
- Jolteon - Sparky
- Leafeon - Linnea
- Umbreon - Tamao
- Glaceon - Rea
- Espeon - Sakura
- Sylveon - Kira
Any time that you use one of these names, you can no longer use that technique. So you essentially get 8 free vouchers for a specific Eeveelution and then you'll have to utilize some other methods in Pokémon GO.
Later additions of the Eeveelutions have specific requirements that allow for a certain evolution. For example, if you earn some miles with your Eevee and evolve at night, you can get an Umbreon. Unfortunately, this doesn't apply to the original three.
Trainers who need Vaporeon, Jolteon, and Flareon will have to rely on randomized evolutions. That can get frustrating, but the good news is it only costs 25 Eevee candy per attempt. With any luck, you'll get all three.
