Planet Coaster 2 Announced, Gets Fall 2024 Release Date

The original Planet Coaster filled the Theme Park-shaped hole that many of us that love park management games had been carrying for some time, allowing players to build the theme park of their dreams. Developer Frontier have announced that a sequel, Planet Coaster 2, will be arriving on PC and consoles this Fall.

In an announcement blog, Frontier revealed that a selection of brand new features will be arriving with Planet Coaster 2, including updated path-building and highly requested plazas. 

Perhaps the biggest addition for this sequel is that of water attractions. In the announcement trailer, we saw guests embark on a water-themed rollercoaster and cooling off from the heat in pools. 

Players will once again be able to oversee park management by checking on ride maintenance, cleanlines, guest safety, and more. Players will also be able to help guests combat the elements, such as by providing sunscreen and shade on those powerfully sunny days, or offering umbrellas when the heavens open up.

Fans are able to wishlist Planet Coaster 2 now, with the game launching on on Steam, Epic, Xbox X/S and PlayStation 5 in Fall 2024. A definitive release date has yet to be announced.
