The Plush Trading feature has long-last arrived to the cozy MMO Palia through the v0.185 patch, the Fall's Flourishes update available for PC and Nintendo Switch consoles as of 22nd October 2024. This in-game feature was first announced in a developer post in August 2024, where Singularity 6 detailed that this feature allows Palians to finally organize their growing plushie collection by doing away with excess or duplicated plushies.

But before they can start exchanging plushies with others in-game, there are a few things to pay attention to and, most importantly, complete before the trading can begin! This guide is stuffed like a Muujin plushie with all the relevant information about the Plush Trading feature, like how it works, how to unlock trading, and more for Palia.

What Is The Plush Trading Feature Explained In Palia?

As promised, the Plush Trading feature has arrived to Kilima Village as Palians can begin exchanging their collected plushies with friends, community members, or other players online. This in-game feature is self-explanatory, but have Palians ever wondered what they can do with all the duplicated plushies they've amassed since they were introduced in-game, which is likely with the Finding Friends Chapaa Plush through the Refer-A-Friend program?

Quite similar, this feature allows Palians to exchange or trade plushies they've collected when visiting the trading kiosk in Kilima Village, and they can make an offer "of between one and three Potato Pods or Plushes." If their friend, community member, or another Palian accepts the traded offer, the items will be exchanged, and they can add these plushies to their collection or start their next trade.

However, there will come a time when they'll decline the offer, which happens, but it usually occurs when the offer is less desirable, they have the plushies being offered, or Palians don't have what they need. There will be Palians looking for the plushies that they have, so don't fret if an offer gets declined.

How To Trade Plushies Using The Plush Trading Feature In Palia?

To start trading plushies with friends, community members, or other players, they must first locate the Trading Kiosk somewhere in Kilima Village and complete its related quest, Trading Tips, to obtain a specific item that allows them to trade plushies. This can be achieved by interacting with the Trading Kiosk and utilizing the in-game social features, like the Chatbox or the new “Come Here” emote, to attract potential buyers to exchange plushies, which are capped at three plushies per trade.

A few general tips for exchanging or trading plushies were alluded to during the Trading Tips quest when completing the quiz. The first general tip regards rarity, which the Quiz-o-matic figurine states is that trading limited released plushies should be traded with other limited-released plushies to gain more value for the traded item.

An example is the Stackable Muujin and Palcat Pillows, which were available as Twitch Drops and cannot be acquired in-game as of writing. Other notable rare plushies that are no longer available and can't be acquired in-game include the Nibbles the Drake plush, the Giga and Big Frogbert plushies, and the Summer, Fall, and Leafy Flutterfox plushies.

On the subject of rarities, each plush has a rarity tag, from Abundant or Common to Legendary, which should help Palians make trades for certain plushies. It's therefore advised when making trades that they are trading an Abundant plushie for another Abundant plushie unless they're willing to trade for something of a lower or higher rarity based on how much they need for their collection.

Be aware that their offer will be declined if Palians don't have the plushies they're looking for or the offer is less desirable, which does not sweat as plenty of Palians might need these plushies. Practice etiquette and don't bug Palains for declining the offer; instead, put out a message in the Chatbox to entice potential owners for the plushies that they own.

All Rewards Earned From The Plush Trading Feature In Palia

The only reward Palians can earn from the Plush Trading feature is the plushies they receive from the trade. However, if they complete the aforementioned Trading Tips quest, they'll receive two items: a Trade permit required to make trades at the trading kiosk.

There aren't any Accomplishments, or the game's achievements feature related to the Plush Trading feature, but there is one connected to Potato Pods. According to the 0.185 patch notes, Palians who've completed their "Potato Pod collection" may unlock a new Accomplishment, Blessing of the Potato Pods, which is being reported they can earn a Potato and 30 Renown.
