Players who have been eyeing the Gazebo since they started working on their Housing plot will find it available when visiting City Hall to purchase other Housing Add-Ons, Writs, and Crafting Licenses. Unfortunately, players must dig deep into those pockets to get a Gazebo, as it's locked behind the Housing Slots Accomplishment.
These achievements have caused plenty of confusion within the Palia community as the requirements regarding how players can successfully meet them were only partially outlined. If players are prepared to spend plenty of Gold to complete these achievements, we've explained how to unlock and get Gazebos in Palia.
How To Unlock The Gazebo Housing Add-On In Palia?
More specifically, the Housing Slots II Accomplishment can be completed once players have unlocked three more slots, which requires plenty of Gold to purchase. When starting Palia, they'll have two default slots available during the Welcome to Palia quest to utilize in the early game.
For the Housing Slots Accomplishments, they'll need to unlock more slots to meet the objectives and receive rewards for completing them. Housing Slot I requires them to unlock one housing slot for 50,000 Gold, and they'll receive five Renown and the Blushing Rustic Sliding Wallpaper as rewards.
Housing Slot II Accomplishment tasks players with unlocking three housing slots, with the second slot costing 75,000 Gold and the third slot at 100,000 Gold, totaling three slots to complete the achievement. Players will receive a free Gazebo and 15 Renown upon its completion and make the Gazebo Housing Add-On available for purchase at City Hall.
How To Get The Gazebo Housing Add-On In Palia?
There is another way players can acquire the Gazebo Housing Add-On in-game, as previously mentioned, but they must meet the requirements to purchase the Gazebo at City Hall. This means that should players wish to own a Gazebo; they must complete the Housing Slots II Accomplishment before they can buy more at City Hall.
As such, one Gazebo will cost players 10,000 Gold, and for subsequent purchases, it will cost an extra 5,000 Gold. Constructing a Gazebo will require 100 Sapwood Planks and 35 Stone Bricks to contribute and will take four hours in real-world time for the construction to be completed.
Players aren't required to place any Houses and Add-Ons on the purchased housing slots as they'll only need to buy three slots to have five in total, costing 225,000 Gold to complete this achievement. Many have expressed their anger and frustration on social media and community forums about locking away the Gazebo behind a Gold Grind, considering how the Windmill was slightly less tedious to acquire.
Many have called on the developers to change this money-grabbing implementation of the Gazebo to less expensive options, especially as some have opted not to complete this achievement for a purely cosmetic Add-On. Nevertheless, players will have to extensively put plenty of work into farming, which is the best option to earn Gold in-game and reap the rewards to make enough to unlock these housing slots and the Gazebo, which, once placed, will contribute their Building Limits.
Palia is currently available via the Epic Games Store and in Open Beta for PC, as players can install the game launcher detailed in this guide. The game is now available to download for Nintendo Switch as of 14th December 2023.
