Palia Housing Expansion II Accomplishment: How To Unlock The Windmill

The Housing system is quite robust in the cozy MMO Palia, allowing players to add houses, Add-Ons, and other unique customization options on their Housing Plot. While adhering to the Building Limit for their plot, some customizations are locked behind various quests and in-game achievements, like the Windmill.

As previously explained in our guide to unlocking the Gazebo, the Windmill Add-On can be unlocked similarly; however, minus the pain of having to part ways with plenty of Gold. If a cool Palian breeze is what players seek, we’ve discussed how they can unlock the Windmill and get more of them in Palia.

How To Unlock The Windmill Housing Add-On In Palia?

Akin to the Housing Slots II Accomplishment, in which players can unlock the Gazebo Housing Add-On, the Windmill Housing Add-On can be unlocked similarly, although less intrusive. According to its in-game description, the Housing Expansion II Accomplishment requires players to unlock 19 Housing plot expansions.

This can be achieved by purchasing Writs at the City Hall Store when visiting the building and interacting with the cash register on the desk. Writs cannot be bought with Gold but Renown, which is earned from completing Accomplishments, quests, and tasks, increasing Friendships with Villagers, leveling Skills, and fulfilling players’ requests.

Players can only begin buying Writs after completing the Strong Foundations quest, for which the first Writ will cost 20 Renown. Writs will increase in cost for every subsequent purchase before it maxes out at 100 Renown per Writ; however, to get the 19 Housing plot expansions, players are to require 685 Renown total to buy 19 Writs and unlock 19 expansions.

This will complete the Housing Expansion II Accomplishment, for which players will receive 15 Renown and a Silver Plot Size Trophy to signify this feat. Additionally, they’ll receive a Windmill for free to be placed anywhere on their Housing plot, which will be available within their Backpack or Storage Inventory.

How To Get The Windmill Housing Add-On In Palia?

There is another way to get a Windmill, but much like the Gazebo, players must complete the Housing Expansion II Accomplishment. There isn’t another workaround, so players must do as many quests and tasks as possible, speak with Villagers to raise Friendship levels, use their skills to level it up, and complete as many requests as possible to bank enough Renown.

Once the achievement has been completed, return to the City Hall and visit the cash register at the desk to access the store. It’s here where players can buy more Windmills for their homes, for which the first Windmill costs 6,000 Gold, and every following purchase will increase its pricing by 1,000 Gold.

Palia is currently available via the Epic Games Store and in Open Beta for PC, as players can install the game launcher detailed in this guide. The game is now available to download for Nintendo Switch as of 14th December 2023.
