Players are mining for Starstones, which are added to the cozy MMO Palia in the game’s latest patch update, v0.172. These precious gems are the heart and soul of Majiri culture and are central to astrology, being tied to their corresponding constellation and complemented by a Starstone.
Citrine Starstones are Rare items that can be mined from nodes throughout Kilima Village and Bahari Bay and are pretty easy to get thanks to the nodes needed to be mined. We’ve carefully detailed how players can get and best use Citirne Starstones in Palia.
Where To Find Citrine Starstones In Palia?
Citrine Starstones is one of ten players who can get their hands on it thanks to the v0.172 patch update for the cozy MMO Palia. Starstones are the physical reminders of each Villager’s Star Path and the player’s character, deeply entrenched in Majiri astrology and culture.
Along with their dedicated Starstones, complement each Villager’s personality type, whether it be Air, Earth, Fire, or Water, which completes their Star Path. This could give players a “better understanding” of the Villagers as well as themselves and possibly pre-determine what the future holds.
Citrine Starstones are perhaps the easiest Starstones to obtain through Mining specific types of nodes found either in Kilima Village or Bahari Bay. They can be mined from rocks and standard ore nodes littered across Kilima Village, Bahari Bay, and those found at their Housing plot.
How To Use Citrine Starstones In Palia?
With enough Citrine Starstones added to their inventory, players can begin using them, but for now, they’re limited to two ways. The first is to sell them 600 Gold for each Citrine Starstone sold through the Shipping Bin at their Housing plot.
Another way is for gifting to Villagers who are aligned with Citrine Starstone’s Star Path, “The Wanderer.” Villagers aligned with this specific astrological sign possess a carefree nature and greatly admire adventures and the great outdoors.
Players may have already met and befriended Villagers aligned with “The Wanderer” Star Path, which happens to be Auni, Reth, and Zeki. While Auni and Zeki are both adventurers by heart, with Zeki running an Underground Black Market with unique and equally rare items likely acquired through black market vendors or through his travels, Auni is beginning his journey as an adventurer and is a budding entomologist.
Reth, however, is a Villager many have tried avoiding due to him turning away from his Path, which is considered bad within Majiri culture. However, once players continue to advance their Friendship with him and pursue him romantically, they’ll learn of the sacrifices he made for his sister, Tish, which has made Reth a beloved character and that best fits him on “The Wanderer” Star Path.
Don’t forget that it will consider gifting Auni, Reth, and Zeki a Citrine Starstone a “Loved Gift” by them. Therefore, they’ll have to wait one week for the cooldown period to expire before gifting them another Citrine Starstone, but players can also give them to friends and players who've requested them.
Palia is currently available via the Epic Games Store and in Open Beta for PC, as players can install the game launcher detailed in this guide. The game is now available to download for Nintendo Switch as of 14th December 2023.
