The loyal companion of Hassian and Bahari Bay’s best dog, Tau the Plumehound, has become one of Palia’s most popular characters. Receiving plenty of attention from players alike, his joyful face and energetic personality may have gotten him into trouble in his Friendship quest, A Hole Lotta Work.

Kenli has some distressing news that his beloved flower beds have been destroyed, and he has laid the blame on Tau, and Hassian has firmly refuted these claims. To determine whether Tau has turned to the Dark Side, they can help Kenli and resolve Tau’s problem by completing the A Hole Lotta Work Friendship quest in Palia.

Palia A Hole Lotta Work Friendship Quest Objectives List

Since the release of the 0.168 patch update, players could befriend the best dog and the goodest of boys, Tau the Plumehound, in Palia. This adorable yet independent little pup is quite energetic and resourceful and is a trusted companion of Hassian, the Hunting Skill Guild Master.

However, he may have encountered some trouble with Kenli as he suspected Tau of destroying their garden, which they tasked players with investigating. Help Hassian get to the bottom of this dilemma as we’ve outlined the quest objectives to help Kenli and Eshe repair their garden and find the culprit behind this disaster in Tau’s Friendship quest, A Hole Lotta Work:

• Get five Ceramic bricks
• Get five Sundrop Lilies
  • Talk to Hassian about Tau (optional)
• Repair the flower beds
• Look for Tau on their plot
  • Open Tau’s present
  • Talk to Tau again

How To Complete The A Hole Lotta Work Friendship Quest In Palia?

While players may not be able to pet Tau yet, they can converse with the Plumehound to reach Friendship Level 2 and unlock his Friendship quest, A Hole Lotta Work. They can receive this quest from Kenli, who desperately needs their help after finding his flower beds destroyed supposedly by Tau.

They can speak to Tau and Hassian before collecting the resources needed to repair the flower beds, which is an optional choice for players, and Hassian will give them some items to help with the repairs. If not, they will require some Ceramic bricks, which can be crafted in a Smelter using Clay mined from Clay nodes and Sundrop Lilies, which can be found blooming in Chaapa Crossing, Reflection Fields, and Remembrance Garden.

Head to the Mayor’s Estate to begin repair work on the flower beds at the entrance to their home before providing an update with Kenli. Upon returning to their Housing Plot, they’ll find Tau awaiting them with a surprise gift in his mouth, which, when unwrapped, gives players ten Purple Spinning Fireworks.

They’ll need to speak to Tau once more, and they can thank the Plumehound for the thoughtful gift, thus completing Tau’s Friendship quest. Alongside the fireworks, they can also receive 15-20 Renown and have their Friendship level increased with Tau, which, if they like, can gift Tau his Daily Liked or Loved Gift to boost their Friendship further.

Palia is currently available via the Epic Games Store and in Open Beta for PC, as players can install the game launcher detailed in this guide. The game is now available to download for Nintendo Switch as of 14th December 2023.
