Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2 has been announced, officially confirming several leaks from earlier this year.
The news was revealed exclusively by IGN, who confirmed that the sequel will release later this year and that pre-orders would open tomorrow. The reveal also confirmed that characters will be getting moves known as 'Supers', which act similarly to how a final Smash does in Super Smash Bros. The title will launch on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, and PC, with three editions available: Base Edition, Deluxe Edition (which includes the full game plus season pass) and Ultimate Edition (which includes the base game, season pass and one additional exclusive costume for each character).
Among the new additions such as new stages, new modes, and a brand new story mode in which you attempt to stop Vlad Plasmius, there are also two brand new characters: Squidward and Jimmy Neutron. It remains to be seen whether other new characters will be coming, or whether this is the entire base roster, however, a season pass is available that promises four additional characters which will be revealed and released throughout 2024. The game will also support crossplay at launch, meaning you can play with your friends regardless of what system they're playing on at the time.
