New World's Aeternum is experiencing a bit of a cold-snap with the launch of a brand new in-game event, the Winter Convergence Festival.

Offering up festive rewards, new enemies to slay, and giving many of the game's POIs a festive overhaul, whether you dive into the event headfirst or not, anyone who ventures into New World in the next few weeks will know what time of year it is.

Amongst all the new quests, there are a series of festive cosmetics being added to the game. Some are paid and some are free (it is the season of giving after all), if you want to get your hands on these rewards, which include a shiver emote and some lovely Christmas decorations for your home, then this short guide will see you right.

When does the Winter Convergence Festival begin and end?

In terms of the start date, you will be happy to know that the Winter Convergence Festival has already begun, being released alongside the 16th December update.

The Winter Convergence Festival will end on 11th January.

However, the giveaway starts on 17th December and runs until the 27th, with new rewards being added throughout this time. Players will need to login during the days specific items are available or they will not be able to get them at all.
