New World MMO offers a wide selection of weapons for players to use, including the somewhat underrated standard Bow. This weapon is rewarded to players after completing their initial quests in the game and requires Arrows to use them. This guide will help you on how to craft arrows by showing you where to find feathers in New World.
As we mentioned, the Bow is rewarded to players after completing one of the first quests in the game (that's if they managed to get through the lengthy queues, that is). This means that many newer players will utilize it for a fair duration of their time in Aeternum
Given this, players and other Bow wielders are going to need to have arrows on hand at all times. Arrows aren’t too plentiful in the world either, which requires players to craft them more often than not. That’s easier said than done, though, as arrows require feathers -- so here's how to find them!
How to find Feathers in New World MMO
Feathers currently only have one source: turkeys. The woodland creatures are the only animal or resource that produces feathers, which means Bow wielders are going to need to familiarize themselves with New World’s resident Poultry source.
To find turkeys, all you need to do is visit a settlement. So, head outside and start looking in the woods or forest. Eventually, you’ll stumble upon a turkey, as they like to patrol the woods right outside of settlements.
Once you find a turkey, you need to kill it and then skin it in order to acquire its feathers. If you have a Tracking and Skinning trade skill of Level 25, then you can track specific turkey locations by using your compass. This is a prudent skill to train if you’re a Bow wielder.
The amount of feathers turkeys drop is dependent on the kill itself. Sometimes you’ll get more and sometimes you’ll only acquire a few. Once you have killed a few turkeys, you’ll have enough feathers to craft enough arrows to hold you over in New World.
Good luck and happy exploring!
