The journey to becoming the best 2K baller in the world has already begun and we have enjoyed a fair share of fun while enjoying everything new that came to NBA 2K22.
You should already have time to get used to the renovated game mechanics or you are just jumping on the 2K fever, we will try our best to help you expedite the beginning of your MyTeam adventure.
For this series, we will build a set of mock lineups based on the real action of the auction house and create a competing squad to play up to any challenge within the game mode.
NBA 2K22 - Best lineup under 30,000 MT coins in MyTeam
The first thing we have to do is set some ground rules because we will be trying to build this team exclusively from the auction house.
That of course means that other methods to acquire player items won’t be considered like token rewards or pre-order gifts to keep a levelled field for everyone who wants to try this.
With that in mind, we will only concentrate on Base Set, Colossal, Primetime and Flash players for every exercise of this series.
Deron Williams will lead your starting lineup in MyTeam
Of course, we will begin with the starting five but it is important that even though the MyTeam lineup allows you to have 13 players we are only going to fill 10, a starting and a backup per position on the court, that is to make our investment more efficient.
Sapphire Base Set 85 OVR PG Deron Williams - 4,500 MT coins
To start this team we will get the former Nets’ playmaker Deron Williams in its Base Set edition. We were looking for a combination of ball-handling and outside shooting that will help us on isolation plays or thread the needle accordingly with ease.
Sapphire 85 OVR SG David Wesley - 2,300 MT coins
David Wesley will help us having a long-distance sniper to complement the backcourt as he also has 84 Driving Layup and 87 Draw Foul attributes, which makes him a threat close and far from the rim.
Ruby 88 OVR SF Austin Carr - 6,500 MT coins
We continue with a small-ball approach as our small forward is only 6’4” but he can score on all three levels which makes him tough to defend and he also has a Passing IQ attribute of 89 that can provoke mismatches.

Sapphire 85 OVR PF Blake Griffin - 2,900 MT coins
We start to bulk up with Blake Griffin at the “4” as the former Clippers’ big man will help us run our pick and rolls while having a physical threat underneath the rim and wear and tear the defence.
Sapphire Primetime 85 OVR C Marvin Bagley III - 4,750 MT coins
Along with Griffin, Marvin Bagley III will give us a constant presence at the boards that can give us second chances on missed shots while having a very respectable 77 3pt attribute that can open lanes for other players to attack the rim.
STARTING LINEUP TOTAL SPENT - 20,950 MT coins
Russell Westbrook will take over from the bench
- Emerald 81 OVR PG Russel Westbrook - 2,600 MT coins
- Emerald 81 OVR SG Dell Curry - 1,100 MT coins
- Gold 77 OVR SF Khris Middleton - 1,800 MT coins
- Emerald 81 OVR PF Kyle Kuzma - 1,300 MT coins
- Emerald 81 OVR C Demarcus Cousins - 1,300 MT coins
We built a pretty great bench that is as versatile as any team that you can get with that budget led by the newest Lebrobn James’ sidekick, Russell Westbrook.
We get explosion at the point guard with Westbrook, a deadly sharpshooter with Dell Curry, a three-level threat with Middleton, a physical swiss knife with Kuzma and an elite presence under the rim on both ends with Demarcus Cousins.
BENCH TOTAL SPENT - 8,100 MT coins
GRAND TOTAL - 29,050 MT coins
It is important to remind you that this experiment is to help you ease the research and provide you with more tools to face any challenge within MyTeam.
That should not stop you from mixing and matching with Free Agents, Evolve cards or reward items and get even a better lineup.
In the meantime, make sure to give a look at our dedicated section as we will bring you everything you need to know about every NBA 2K release, news, MyTeam tips and more.
