Rambo, Mileena and Rain confirmed as Mortal Kombat 11 DLC

NetherRealm has announced Rambo, Mileena and Rain will be added to Mortal Kombat 11 as new character DLC. 

After it was previously leaked, the developer released a trailer showing the two MK veterans Rain and Mileena facing off in a jungle environment - before Rambo interrupts the battle. 

This marks the latest crossover character from 80s action movies, following The Terminator and Robocop. Rambo however, unlike past DLC, does actually feature the voice of original actor Sylvester Stallone.

While many might be excited for Rambo’s moveset, Mileena has been the most requested character by fans since Mortal Kombat 11’s release - so this announcement will likely be met with some satisfaction.

Rain hasn’t been a playable character in Mortal Kombat since the franchises’s 2011 reboot, later appearing as an NPC in follow-up Mortal Kombat X.

Mileena has been a staple character of the franchise, who was last playable in previous entry Mortal Kombat X. She was also featured in a Friendship animation within Mortal Kombat 11, to the teased disdain of many fans.

The three new characters are set to arrive as part of Kombat Pack 2, which might disappoint some after the game's previous Kombat Pack featured six new characters in total. 

The developer also announced Mortal Kombat 11: Ultimate set to be released on 17th November, which contains all DLC so far including Kombat Pack 2.

Mortal Kombat 11 Ultimate will release on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PC, Stadia and next-gen platforms PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X all at the same time.

Mortal Kombat 11 and Mortal Kombat 11 Ultimate owners on PS4 or Xbox One can also access free upgrades to PS5 or Xbox Series X - which offers enhanced visual features and loading times.

Unlike Aftermath, these new additions won't come with any story DLC - with pricings yet to be revealed.

If you pre-order Mortal Kombat 11 Ultimate, you’ll receive the Time Warriors Skin Pack too which includes new character variants “Dark Web” Noob Saibot, “HCF” Liu Kang and “Blood Moon” Skarlet.
