MLB The Show 24 has continued a tradition started last year with the introduction of Storylines, and the biggest spotlight remains on the unsung history of the Negro Leagues. Ahead of launch, Sony San Diego confirmed a total of ten Negro Leagues Storylines were on deck for Season 2 of this multi-year endeavor. With the latest update and the impending arrival of the next Diamond Dynasty season, the final three MLB The Show 24 Negro Leagues legends have joined the game.

Rather than making all ten of this year's Negro Leagues Storylines available at launch, MLB The Show 24 went with a slow rollout after the worldwide release date. Henry Aaron, Josh Gibson, Buck Leonard, and the groundbreaking Toni Stone rounded out the initial quartet of legends when the game first arrived.

A few short weeks later, the April 5 update added Leon Day, Larry Doby, and Jose Mendez to Season 2 of the Negro Leagues Storylines. Now nearly two months later, Negro Leagues Season 2 is complete with the addition of Rap Dixon, Bill Foster, and Andy Cooper to MLB The Show 24.

Andrew "Lefty" Cooper was a left-handed Texan pitcher who lit up the Negro Leagues and caught the eye of the legendary Rube Foster. William "Bill" Foster, brother of the previously mentioned Rube, was also one of baseball's greatest pitchers and shined most when the lights where on bright. Herbert "Rap" Dixon is a true five-tool outfielder and one of many barnstorming legends that played for many teams in their career.

Players can unlock 85 OVR versions of each player by completing their Negro Leagues Storylines. While an 85 OVR might not seem ideal at this stage for some players, the upcoming start of Season 2 in Diamond Dynasty will also mean Season 1 specific cards are no longer valid unless used with a Wild Card Slot.

All of these are Core cards usable all year long, so they're good team investments to Parallel up to higher levels. You'll also score some bat skins, uniforms, stadiums, XP, and Stubs when finishing up these Storylines. For those looking to beef up their lineup while rounding out some Season 1 challenges and racking up XP before Season 2 drops, all the Negro Leagues cards unlocked in Storylines are now Supercharged to be 99 OVR until Diamond Dynasty starts a new season this Friday.
