During their adventures across the Free Lands, players will uncover secrets, unravel the main storyline, accept Contracts, and upkeep their farm in Blue Meadows. Regardless of what activity they engage in in-game, there is a chance they will forage, harvest, mine, and loot items, meaning they'll need some space reserved for these items.
Your Inventory is, therefore, an important gameplay aspect to manage, and having plenty of space for food, weapons, unique collectibles, and Elixirs is imperative to ensure their survival. This guide addresses everything about the Inventory system, including how to expand it and what Fabled Feathers are in Mirthwood.
How To Expand The Inventory Space In Mirthwood?
After successfully escaping the Continent for the Free Lands, they'll set foot in Blue Meadows for a fresh start and a farm to call home. As players have the option to choose between "A Heroic Adventure," "The Simple Life," and "A Dark Crusade," according to the developer, they will need to put their best foot forward when unfolding the main questline and exploring the Free Lands.
To best prepare for either type of adventure in-game, they must ensure they have enough consumables, including Health and Stamina Elixirs, protective armor, and plenty of space within their Inventory. Luckily for players, they can manage their space, but when starting in-game, their Inventory space is limited, and they can't loot potions and certain forageables.
So, how can players increase their Inventory space to accommodate more items in Mirthwood? There's a specific collectible item that can be found throughout the open world called Fabled Feathers, and when used, it can increase slots for their Inventory, meaning more space and better managing their items.
Once they've acquired some Fabled Feathers, look for an elder NPC, Fernfoot, who can be found near their home in east Brightoak at The Old Forest. After speaking with him, he'll assist them in expanding their Inventory, which costs Fabled Feathers, but they can also access his little shop to buy some rare items that may be a little too pricey at first.
How To Find And Use Fabled Feathers In Mirthwood?
After speaking with Fernfoot in Brightoak, they'll need to explore the Free Lands in search of Fabled Feathers. The tricky thing about these collectibles is that they can be found predominantly on the ground, around tree trunks, near riverbanks, beside rocks, and in other unique structures native to the Free Lands.
As we're still actively exploring the Free Lands to locate as many, if not all, the Fabled Feathers available in Mirthwood, players are likely to spot these rainbow-colored items while completing quests, Contracts, or exploring the world. While our journey is relatively fresh and ongoing, we have found a handful thus far, so here's where we've located them in-game:
- South Fernfoot's Place: There's a campsite south of Fernfoot's Place (after finding the elder NPC) where they can find a sleeping bag and Fabled Feather in the corner near a barrel.
- South Brightoak: Look for a large tree near the riverbank south of the bridge in Brightoak.
- South Brightoak: Find a theater stage where they can get onto the stage and find another Fabled Feather in the bottom left corner.
- South-west Brightoak: Locate the Blacksmith, Clayton, and head to the front of the house to find a Workbench where the Fabled Feather is spotted.
As for their uses, visit Fernfoot near their home, Brightoak, and speak with them to exchange the Fabled Feathers to expand their Inventory space. While we have yet to find all the Fabled Feathers, it's being reported that eight Fabled Feathers are required to upgrade, but we'll update this guide to confirm this.
